The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, SLANDER, DJ DIESEL, Mersiv, Level Up, Mary Droppinz, and more are set to play the debut edition of Breakaway Alabama.
Breakaway Music Festival set its sights on deeper expansion this year and has done so in style. While the festival plotted its return to familiar places like Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota, and North Carolina, its newfound editions in Arizona, Texas, and Georgia have helped it tackle even more of the US. Another new edition will pop up on October 3-4 as Breakaway Alabama kicks into gear for the first time.
The debut edition of Breakaway Alabama will see the festival take over The Orion Amphitheater and Apollo Park in Huntsville, providing a weekend filled with house, dubstep, and more for the hungry masses. Headlining the festival are four major artists in the scene—The Chainsmokers, Kaskade, SLANDER, and DJ DIESEL, aka Shaquille O’Neal—who are all sure to throw down epic sets at this venue in the South.
The headliners are just the start of the fun, as there are plenty of talented acts set to play throughout the day to keep the energy alive. Bass music lovers will want to flock to the sets from Kompany, Level Up, Mersiv, and AVELLO. Meanwhile, those looking for a house music fix can get down and dirty to the sounds of Dr. Fresch, Snakehips, Ship Wrek, and Matroda.
Add in the dynamic styles of Mary Droppinz and KLO, the country-infused sound of Brandi Cyrus and MC4D, and the pop-fueled sounds of TWINSICK and Will Sass, and you’ve got the recipe for a fantastic weekend. Artists from the region, including 2checks, Lykwid, MACDIZZY, MOLLYWATER, and Rocco, will play in support.
Akin to the other editions around the country, Breakaway Alabama will feature The Launch Pad by White Claw Surge, a Silent Disco, and activations from partnered brands. Sponsors for the festival’s debut in Huntsville include CELSIUS, Beatbox, Starry, Geek Bar, Cash App, and Jose Cuervo: Devil’s Reserve, among others. End Overdose will also be on-site at Breakaway Alabama to raise awareness and educate attendees on opioid overdoses and proper Narcan usage.
